The Loop pressed pause on your life.
We're going to press play 🎉
These are the exact words people use to describe what it feels like to be stuck inside their own head.
"Like a hamster wheel I can't get off"
"A record player stuck on the same track, over and over"
"Like playing whack-a-mole with my thoughts - I fix one and three more show up"
"Constant noise I can't turn off, let alone turn down"
"I feel like I have two brains. One that knows it's irrational. And one that just won't stop."
If any of that landed - you're in exactly the right place.
Honestly? Trying harder to make thoughts stop just makes The Loop worse.
Your brain doesn't work like that (and it's not your fault nobody told you.)
Break The Loop teaches you something different entirely. Instead of fighting the loop, you learn to change your relationship with it - so it loses its grip on you, your time, and your energy.

Finally feel understood and make your brain make sense 💫
Hi, I'm Jess
I'm a BABCP accredited psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. I specialise in the kind of OCD that doesn't look like OCD. The mental compulsions (often referred to as 'Pure O'.
The invisible checking. The endless loop of reassurance-seeking, reviewing, and analysing that your brain has somehow convinced you is just 'being thorough' or 'being responsible.'
I built Break The Loop because I know what it's like to spend years living inside your head, trying to think yourself to peace that never quite comes. I also kept seeing the same thing...
People who'd been told to 'just stop worrying', or been given the wrong tools that didn't touch the sides.
People who often didn't even recognise their experience as OCD or mental compulsions, totally exhausted, not because they weren't trying hard enough - but because nobody had ever shown them what was actually happening
People who deserved a proper way through that didn't require a 12-month therapy waiting list.
This course is structured around the RESUME method - a six-step framework I developed from my clinical work, designed especially for the kind of OCD that doesn't look like OCD.
A structured, evidence based approach that combines CBT, ERP, MCBT & ACT, specifically adapted for the mental compulsions that most courses, books, and therapists completely miss.
Whether you've had a formal OCD diagnosis or you just know your brain gets stuck and you're exhausted by it - I built this for you. No diagnosis needed.
It works. I use these tools everyday. And it's time more people had access to it.
If you spent just 30 fewer minutes a day stuck in The Loop - that's over 180 hours back in your life every single year.
Not 180 hours of being 'fixed.' Just 180 hours of actually being present.
Finishing things. Doing the stuff you keep putting off because your brain won't quieten down enough to let you.
That's what Break The Loop is for.
These aren't distant promises. They are examples of what is possible when The Loop stops running the show & you press play on your life
↓
Watching whatever you want on Netflix - without scanning ahead for content that might set your brain off
Waking up and just... waking up. Not immediately checking how anxious you already feel
Making a decision and moving on - no mental whack-a-mole, no spiralling for the rest of the day
Booking a holiday and actually looking forward to it - instead of spending three months researching the 'perfect' option that doesn't exist
Coming home from a night out and just being home - not replaying every conversation on a loop until 2am
Sitting with your child while they read to you and actually hearing the words - not fighting your own brain in the background
Being present with the people you love - properly present, not half-there and half-lost in your own head
Picking up the books, the hobbies, the things you quietly put down - because your mind finally has room for them

Six steps to go from being stuck inside your head to pressing play on your life again

Q1:
I've tried therapy before and it didn't really work
A1:
That's genuinely frustrating - and more common than you'd think. A lot of people have had traditional talking therapy or therapy that focused on anxiety in general, without ever touching the specific mental compulsions keeping the loop going. This is different. We go after the invisible stuff, the things you didn't even realise you are doing that are keeping you stuck. Once you see this you can't unsee it!
Q2:
I don't think I have OCD. I'm just an overthinker.
A2:
You might be right. You might not. Honestly? It doesn't matter for this course. If your brain gets stuck on loops of thoughts, images or feelings that feel urgent and impossible to ignore - and if you've tried to just think your way out to get peace and it hasn't worked - this was built for exactly that. A diagnosis is not required (in fact the majority of people I work with do not have a formal diagnosis of OCD - they just know they don't want to keep living life this way)
Q3:
Can I really learn this without a therapist?
A3:
Yes - because this course is built to anticipate the questions you might ask in a 1-1 therapy session. It is self-study, but it's not you figuring it out alone. Every lesson is designed to walk you through the information and process step by step. And because I've been there, each module has a dedicated 'yes but...' section at the end with answers to all the questions I anticipate you'll ask!
Q4:
Will this help for purely mental OCD - no physical compulsions?
A4:
This course was specifically built with mental compulsions (often called 'Pure O')and rumination in mind. Most resources focus on physical rituals - tapping, checking, arranging. The mental stuff (reviewing, reassuring, googling, analysing) is the specialism here. You're in exactly the right place
Q5:
I can't stop thinking about it - I've literally tried everything.
A5:
The reason 'trying to stop' hasn't worked is because you've been using the wrong tools for the problem. It's because 'stopping thoughts' isn't the goal. Break The Loop gives you the tools to respond differently - so the thoughts lose their grip. You don't need more willpower, you need to tackle the loop from a totally different angle. You were never taught this - that's the gap.
Q6:
Is this a substitute for therapy?
A6:
This course is not a substitute for 1-1 therapy and is psychological education only - but the contents could absolutely be explored with a therapist or used in conjunction with individual therapy. This course is self-paced and self-guided.
Q7:
Who is Break The Loop not for?
A7:
Break The Loop is not for you if you're looking for specific techniques to make your unwanted thoughts/images/feelings stop. That isn't actually possible (however much The Loop tells you it is!).
It's also not for you if you are looking for a 'quick fix'. Break The Loop will give you tools and skills to practice changing your relationship with your unwanted thoughts/images/feelings so that you spend less time in your head thinking about them. This requires a willingness from you to test out doing things differently and put the new tools and skills into practice to achieve actual change.
